Dot Group announces its participation at the Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS) 2025, showcasing innovative solutions that drive cost efficiency and workflow optimisation for production companies.

Located at Stand AI1 in the show’s AI Zone, Dot Group will demonstrate how its AI-powered FinOps solutions help production facilities significantly reduce operational costs through intelligent resource management and financial optimisation. The company’s implementation of IBM Apptio and IBM Turbonomic enables integrated FinOps and GreenOps practices, allowing production companies to make data-driven decisions about resource utilisation while also supporting sustainability goals

“In today’s challenging economic climate, production companies need to maximise the value of every technology investment,” says Simon Parkinson, Managing Director at Dot Group. “Our AI-powered solutions provide the intelligence needed to optimise spending across cloud and on-premises environments, delivering substantial cost savings while simultaneously supporting environmental objectives.”

Alongside its cost optimisation offerings, Dot Group will showcase DataSprint, its enterprise-grade file transfer solution powered by IBM Aspera technology. Designed to address the challenge of moving increasingly large video files without unpredictable costs, DataSprint now offers two flexible commercial models – a fixed-price option with unlimited transfers and a new On Demand service requiring minimal upfront investment.

DataSprint provides military-grade security and flexible deployment across cloud, on-premises or hybrid environments, making professional-grade file transfer accessible to production facilities of all sizes. Industry leaders including Timeline Television, Molinare, and Foo Engine have already transformed their workflows with the solution.

“Production workflows increasingly involve moving massive files between globally distributed teams,” adds Parkinson. “DataSprint enables secure, high-speed transfer regardless of file size or distance, eliminating the bottlenecks that can delay production schedules and impact budgets.”

Dot Group experts will be available throughout MPTS 2025 for personalised consultations and live demonstrations, helping visitors understand how these technologies can be implemented within their specific production workflows to cut costs and improve sustainability.
