At Stand 14.A57, the data company will demonstrate GreenDot and IBM Aspera together, giving media and entertainment businesses real-time visibility of what their data costs, in cash and carbon.

Dot Group, the data and AI consultancy, will exhibit at IBC2026 (RAI Amsterdam, 11–14 September, Future Tech Zone, Stand 14.A57), showing media and entertainment businesses how to cut both the cost and the carbon usage of their data activities – at the same time.
At the centre of the stand is a live pairing of GreenDot, Dot Group’s real-time energy, cost and carbon monitoring platform, with IBM Aspera, the high-speed, secure file transfer system trusted across media and broadcast for years.
The message is a deliberate challenge to a common assumption: that in a tight market, sustainability is a cost to be cut. Dot Group’s position is the opposite, showing that the energy behind an organisation’s data is cost and carbon leaving the building at once, and that most businesses simply can’t see it clearly enough to act. GreenDot makes that visible in real time, so both can be reduced from a single decision.

Doing this work is DEO, GreenDot’s Digital Energy Officer – a low impact optional hybrid AI layer built to turn usage data across a data estate, showing where energy and, therefore, money are being spent, into clear, practical options to reduce both.

The IBC demonstration puts the idea to work on data transport. By running IBM Aspera transfers whilst being monitored by GreenDot, visitors will see something not usually visible: just how efficient high-speed, secure file movement can be, measured in energy as well as speed. Separately, Dot Group notes there is a fresh commercial case for Aspera, which is more accessible than many in the industry remember, making IBC a timely moment for those who previously set it aside on cost to look again.
The stand reflects a sharper strategy for the business. “You may already know Dot Group, the data company,” said Simon Parkinson, Managing Director. “Understand, design, deliver, support – that hasn’t changed. What’s sharper is how it all fits together: helping clients modernise their foundations for AI, move data at the speed the business needs, and put AI to work where it earns its keep, alongside the secure data transport and sustainability intelligence that now run through everything we do. For years, cost and sustainability were treated as competing conversations. What we’re showing at IBC is that they’re the same one.”
Media and entertainment teams attending IBC2026 can book a slot with the Dot Group team at Stand 14.A57 via the company’s website.
