Unless you choose to deploy your Transfer Server in the cloud, no! You can choose to deploy on-site or in your data centre, in which case transfers will land directly on your on-premise storage, and you send files directly from your own storage.

You will need to provide your own compute and storage. On-premise this means an internet connection, a few virtual machines, and storage. In the cloud you would need to provide a few VMs and object storage. We also have a Cloud option where we provide the compute and storage through our partners iOCO and Scaleway and will manage the cloud servers for you.

DataSprint allows you to transfer single files of many terabytes and beyond, as well as unlimited size collections of files.

DataSprint allows you to transfer files as fast as your technical infrastructure permits. DataSprint transfers are hundreds, sometimes thousands, of times faster than traditional methods such as FTP.

• Unlike other “shadow IT” services where you have little visibility of where your data is stored and how, DataSprint contains your data entirely within your control and organisation.
• Your data will be encrypted in transit and can also optionally be encrypted at rest.

Through the optional Dashboard, you can fully view and control all inbound and outbound transfers with your server.

Dot Group will manage the software on your DataSprint server. You are responsible for hardware, operating system, storage, and networking.
